For a blog to be successful it has to have valuable content in order to keep the readers coming back and staying to finish what they are reading after they get there. There unfortunately is not a cut and dry guaranteed way to accomplish this but, if you put yourself in your readers shoes the truth will be known about the content you are using. Your blog should contain content that pulls your followers in and wanting more.
Use simple and easy to understand language
It is important to realize that there will be people from all walks of life throughout the world that will be reading what you write, so make it understandable. For example, using large and complicated words for a blog on easy to make recipes will turn people away. Have someone else read the first few submissions to make sure that they understand all of the wording you have used.
Try to make the sentences short and to the point
Often times when a sentence is to long it can confuse some readers or make it more difficult to understand what is being said. Make it short, sweet and to the point.
Use Subheads
Subheads are a great way to break an article up into easy to read sections. Also using subheadings will give the article a professional and presentable look.
Use SEO
SEO is search engine optimization – a process used to drive traffic through the search engines to your site. Basically, it means that the article you are posting on your blog should have a decent amount of keywords related to the topic within the body of the article, in order to draw a search to your blog or article.
Be Focused
Stay focused on what you are trying to say and do. Don’t spend a great deal of time thinking about what it is you want to write. The easiest way to put out quick content is to simply write and then go back to review or edit.
Write What You Know
The best way to put out excellent and meaningful content in a quick fashion, is to write what you know. There are literally thousands upon thousands of articles on blogs that are filled with just words, no concept or meaning just words. If you are good at doing certain things, use this to your advantage by writing how to or step by step articles for your blog. People love being able to see something that is written in easy to comprehend directions.
Schedule Your Posts
It also helps to have postings prepared ahead of time whenever possible. For example, if your at the bus stop waiting for the kids to come home, write a few postings while you are waiting and always take a computer or pen and paper to appointments to write while you wait.
Use a voice recorder
Most people speak a lot faster than they write. If you carry a voice recorder with you, you can create content quickly to transcribe later. It is a quick and easy trick to getting content out of your head. You can also try a program like Dragon Naturally Speaking which allows you to talk and translates the audio to type as you speak. It’s a sure bet for those bloggers who can talk a good game, but never quite as good at getting it to paper.
Writing quickly takes practice, but after you are adjusted to the topics going on the blog it will become much easier to write quick content without having to think about what you are writing. The goal is to have readable content that you do not have to spend hours preparing.
